El Sol, Natural
Sweet berry, cocoa & musk.
Bathed in the light of Huehuetenango’s highland sun, El Sol offers a vibrant natural cup. Grown at 1300–1500masl, this mix of Bourbon, Catuai and Caturra delivers sweet berry brightness, balanced by smooth cocoa and a hint of musk. The lot comes from the Vides family, whose story began in 1958 when Dr. Jorge Vides first planted coffee in La Libertad. Three generations later, his grandson Renardo continues the legacy, marrying quality farming with environmental stewardship and community care. After selective handpicking, cherries are pre-fermented, sorted, and slowly dried for up to 17 days. The result is a coffee that radiates warmth and energy, just like the sunrises that inspired its name.
