Just off busy Windsor Road in Northmead, Sydney, lies a quiet nook that's fast becoming known as the home of specialty coffee in Western Sydney. Pourt opened its doors just over two years ago with one clear purpose: to bring fantastic coffee to an area that was craving it, and the response has been nothing short of emphatic.

For co-owner Mike, opening Pourt was about blending "the art and craft of the pour with the gathering and filling up both socially and physically like a port. As the name suggests, we wanted to bring the local community together around specialty coffee."

To create this sense of gathering, the space was designed with a minimalist lightness that feels calm and inviting. The real highlight, though, is the leafy outfoor seating area perched on a hill, flowing seamlessly into a children's playground. It's not uncommon to see the space buzzing with energy with kids playing and parents relaxing with their well-earned coffee. It's these moments you realise Mike and his team have truly achieved what they set out to do, and they're only just getting started.

When looking for a coffee supplier, Five Senses Coffee was a natural fit. "Five Senses share a lot of common values with us. One in particular is their value for the people who make this industry thrive, highlighted through their Impacting People Positively ethos". When in store, customers are treated to perfectly dialled in Crompton Road, while also featuring a rotating list of single origins for both espresso and filter. But coffee isn't the only drawcard. The food offering, though compact, is packed with flavour. Return-worthy bites feature their Reuben sandwich, which is loaded with a "healthy" amount of New York pastrami, as well as a full fleet of bagel toppings for every craving.

With its community spirit, exceptional coffee, and welcoming atmosphere, Pourt has become more than just a cafe. It's a local hub where connections are made over every cup. As the team continues to grow and evolve, one thing remains certain: their passion for people and specialty coffee will keep Western Sydney buzzing for years to come.
