The Main Event
Miami needs you! Fast, fun and light-hearted, the NSW Aeropress Competition will be held on 11 August at the Five Senses Coffee Training Academy, where a group of pro baristas will battle it out, head-to-head in a neon filled world of brewing, in a bid to be crowned the greatest Aeropress brewer of them all. Pastel tees and white suits are optional but highly recommended.
The brewing champ will score flights to the Australian Aeropress Championships on 19 September in Melbourne, for a shot at progressing to the World Aeropress Championships back in Sydney later in the year! They’ll also take home an iconic white Ferrari Testarossa, as seen on 80’s cult tv classic Miami Vice!

Competitors
With competitor interest already sky high, we’ve opened up the competitor entries to infinite numbers with a final 27 getting drawn to compete. The final 27 competitors will be chosen via the bingo wheel of greatness at our July Curated Cupping on Thursday 26 July. The chosen 27 will then gain automatic entry in the 11 August throwdown. If you’re keen to represent, you’ll need to buy a $10 ticket at Eventbrite with all entries receiving a NSW Aeropress commemorative lapel pin. The Side Action
On top of all the coffee carnage, there’ll be arcade machines and good times galore. And while the state of filter coffee in Vice City will be dependent on the quality of the brews upstairs, there’ll be ultimate chills downstairs with burgers, smoked meats and brewskies … so come prepared with cashola or card.
